The Soldiers Table Introduced
Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of characters who will separate from the main group to begin their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team features Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
With an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, striking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.
Casimir then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each character has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, wants revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous place.
- The strong character and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- But, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the group access locations they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The cleric defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The target is marked for death by the clan.
This results in them few options but to head to the northern region in quest for Casimir.
