I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
