Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been won on hard surfaces
A revitalized the Russian player claimed his initial title for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a challenging season, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has steadily improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is his first title after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court after March of 2023.
The win also means the Russian has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a event with my two daughters at once, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had lost his last six championship matches, including in the German tournament in the past months.
His counter-punching strategy and regular emotional displays on the playing surface had caused some to wonder if his capacity to play at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, striving to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging Moutet, taking four of the final five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to create a third set.
Moutet saved four early-game opportunities in a close final set before the champion won the break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, he secured victory with a shot at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to control a return after a lengthy match.
